Origin: Germany, Nuremberg, Circa 1500, Workshop of Mikhael Wolgemut

Based on a painted image of St Anne by Michele Wolgemuth, on the inner panel of the main altar in the church at Swabach, this stained glass panel was clearly produced by a 15th-century German master. The design along the border is very close to those on two pieces of Nuremberg painted glass of the late 15th century, also from the workshop of Wolgemuth.
